Again, women from different areas of society in the Basque Country, Euskal Herria, we are here today to reiterate that we are committed to the pursuit of peace and political normalization. We are more and more pluralistic.

The experiences of other international conflicts (Israel, Colombia, Serbia etc) teach us that many women's groups have joined bridging national boundaries, ethnic, political or religious to make their voices heard in peace processes, and their involvement has been key to finding solutions.

Resolution 1325, adopted by Security Council UN urges Member States to incorporate gender perspective into all peace processes.

Women constitute half of the entire community, therefore we must be half the solution. In

Ahotsak clear that women have, with our active participation, we are contributing decisively to the implementation of a process that will serve to permanently close historical conflicts. Women

political parties, trade unions and women's movement, using dialogue without conditions or exclusions on the basis of respect for the rights of all people, we have to define what unites, agreeing and democratic principles on which we believe it is possible to initiate political dialogue.

The contribution made is greater political consensus agreement, trade union, social and territorial cohesion has been achieved so far.

addition, we are convinced that gender is an unavoidable premise in any agreement. Therefore, we not only participate, but what we do demand our rights, exercising our freedoms and acting in the spaces belong to us, also to us, once and for all.

Only if women play an active role, full and equal in our people, our society, we can lay the foundations of lasting peace and help create a fairer, more democratic and egalitarian.

We realize that this task is not easy and its development believe it is necessary that women participate directly in decision-making.

In order to create a space for communication, discussion, meeting and contribution to the peace process and political normalization, we are promoting the creation of "forums Ahotsak municipal level." Forums are a place of dialogue, encounter and contribution of all women who want to work so that things stay the same and no peace irreversible.

We are committed to dialogue but not always understood by all parts of society and are prepared to pay the price. We know because we are not outside social reality, which at this moment things are not easy, there are difficulties.

The evolution of all peace processes and democratic solution, involving multiple factors that induce parties to talk about blocking, other difficulties and to establish various responsibilities on the situation.

From Ahotsak, echoing our commitment to work for this peace process is irreversible, because we take this historic occasion so that future generations have a different society and can truly enjoy it, we feel obliged, for political responsibility, calling on all parties involved in the resolution:

1 .- To find the points meeting and parking disputes.
2 .- To recognize the otr @ the truth that will help. 3 .- A
use dialogue without conditions, without prejudice as a tool for outreach and political discussion as the sole method to reach agreement and achieve political objectives.
4 .- To appeal to common sense and responsibility to agree on principles, values \u200b\u200band establish procedures to defend democratic ways to bring the solution. 5 .- A
take gender as an unavoidable premise in the process and agreement.

Women here we are, we, like other women affected by the resolution of political and armed conflicts, we must also seek what unites us and work on a peace agenda.

To this end, we have established contacts with other women's movements working for peace in other international conflicts, to create an international network working on the development of this objective.

is time involved and also we want to Basque women. This is the historical time we live. Gathered in Bilbao, Spain, we call on all Basque society, especially women, so that all together and each one from your space, keep the door open and we hope this expectation really exciting. Euskal Herria

ZUHAITZA
Gernika and Itsasu were for centuries a meeting place of peoples of Biscay. There he met the representatives of each municipality, to discuss common problems, along with the Tree of Gernika. The Tree of Gernika to the Basques meant well, a meeting place for dialogue between different, without exclusions, without condiciones, sin límites.

Es quizá a philosophy antithetical to the official policy, more concerned in marking one's territory, defining the antagonisms of the common cause we share. This philosophy is reflected in political action, which is agreed to discuss and agree the way forward.

think these recipes are also indispensable for the peace process, and in which we now find ourselves in the Basque Country. We also believe that we must involve as many women as possible throughout Euskal Herria. Basque women feel and are truly players, active agents for peace, their families, their workplaces and in their municipalities, in the final society.

is so Ahotsak women are working to expand our movement to all corners of Euskal Herria, so that groups of women working in favor of these ideas throughout our country.

So we thought about carrying out an initiative that is recover the ancient meaning of the tree in our Basque tradition, for the current peace process. So it would launch a project that would apply to the Basque municipalities, seeking a place, a corner, new or old, so we can plant a tree in it, as a space for dialogue and as a space for peace. We'd call the place where seek what unites us, in Euskera "batzen gaituena"

means planting trees, reclaiming the meaning of dialogue that the tree has been for the Basques and the Basque people do to people, and involving women in it.

Basque Women, planting of trees to mean that peace is possible because it is possible to dialogue and reconciliation.
